Welcome to The Mother Huff Cap

The Mother Huff Cap Inn, the name deriving from the days when most pubs brewed their own beer, Huff Cap being a 16th century term for a strong ale which would "huf ones cap" or make the head swell, not for the froth on the top of the beer as is sometimes stated.The 'mother' is likely to be the dame who brewed the beer and managed the public house. In 1746 the pub is thought to have been 'The Huff Cap' and to have acquired 'mother' later. This hostelry was once on the main coach road from Stratford to Bridgnorth.

Surrounded by the silver sound of birdsong and bouncy meadows, it is the perfect country pub. accessorised by flowering plants, lawn and a beautifully designed decking area taken up by cheerful people eating and drinking. Inside, you find an inglenook fireplace that would be a wonderful place to lose a winter's afternoon, plus a wide and spacious bar area with an immediate welcoming buzz. venture further down through the bar are to find possibly the most unique and luxurious dog room you are ever likely to visit. The menu reads with all the lovely things you love to eat.

Inside, the restaurant is nicely atmospheric. offering full a la carte menu using fresh and local produce to serve up the best dish possible.
